Why Are SERPs Important?

You may not be familiar with the term SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) but you'll almost certainly be familiar with what it is. It's basically the search engine results you see when you do a search.

Tracking SERPs Helps You Understand How Effective Any Marketing You Do Is and Whether It's Working For You Or Not.

Let's take an example. Let's say you run a Blog or a business online that has a Blog and you write up a Blog article about shoe repairs (Yes, John our trusty cobbler comes into play here). Now it's not that hard to find out where you rank for "Cobblers in [insert town here]" because all you need to do is go ahead and make a search, easy no?

The problem becomes more difficult when you do keyword research and discover that you need to create and promote numerous articles surrounding the topic of your choice.

Why Do This?

It's typical for any business now to try and rank for more than one search term. To do this we create what are referred to as "Landing Pages". These are pages, like this one, that are designed to receive traffic for a very specific search term. In this case that term is "Why Are SERPs Important?". This website has many many pages like that from "Yorkshire Pudding SEO through to "Paying a Web Designer a Retainer" and "SEO Checklist".

Now you have multiple keywords and phrases to track in search and more than that they need to be tracked across multiple search engines simultaneously so you can identify which pages on your website are ranking well and which are not performing for you at all.

This is the essence of SERPs Tracking. Using a system to track not just your website and these landing pages but those of your competitors and identify what is and what is not working for you.

There is a solution
